Um grupo de amigos do jornalista Rubens Valente abriu uma campanha de arrecadação de dinheiro para ajudá-lo a pagar R$ 310 mil em indenização ao ministro Gilmar Mendes, do STF. O repórter foi condenado por citar fatos da vida do ministro no livro Operação Banqueiro, que tem como personagem principal Daniel Dantas, preso em 2008 pela Operação Satiagraha da Polícia Federal.
